School board approves $2M to begin Bowen’s Corner Elementary planning

Berkeley County School District will spend $2 million to begin planning and pre-construction work for a Hanahan elementary school.

During the Nov. 15 meeting of the school board, board members approved staff’s recommendation to contract with Aiken construction firm H.G. Reynolds Co. for the early site package for Bowen’s Corner Elementary. That package will include the guaranteed maximum price for the total project, which will be presented at a later date.
