A native of Charleston and a graduate of Hanahan High School, Ray Wrenn founded The Wrenn Group, formerly known as Wrenn Development in 1999. Ray holds a Bachelor of Science in Administrative Management from Clemson University where he was a member of the 1981 National Championship football team. After graduation, Ray spent time with the family business, CDS, which was started by his father. After tracking the upswing real estate market, Ray decided to diversify his holdings by utilizing his creativity and intrigue with real estate development and design to start The Wrenn Group. His first project was Riverland Woods Apartments, a 288 apartment home community that he built on James Island in 1999. Atlantic Palms Apartments in North Charleston, The Crestmont Apartments in Columbia, The Retreat Luxury Condominiums on James Island, and The Battery at Park West in Mount Pleasant soon followed.
